Fwd: 🎅Munich's Best Xmas Markets (Including Secret Ones Even Locals Don't Know!)

Hey, as you probably know, 4 years ago I moved to Munich for a study abroad program and loved it so much I stayed. It's my second time, I was last in Whilhemshaven working at the Stutzpunkt integrating a radar systems into their weapons direction system for Navy Ships back in '80s. Had a gf in Munich.

And honestly, I think a HUGE factor in that was just how magical it is here during Christmas time.

I've made my Christmas obsession no secret, and I may be biased, but I'd still argue Munich has the most diverse selection of Christmas markets in Germany. There's the traditional mega-cozy Christmas markets frequented by every visitor, the party markets open 'til 1am, a medieval market where you drink fiery wine from clay goblets, a market in an old boat on top an old bridge (really), and a variety of other spots unknown, even to locals.

SO, I made a video all about them, and I'm so excited for you to see why I love this city so much I moved here.

This week's email is coming to you from a funny smelling Starbucks in Cologne! Psst Don't tell anyone. Not so glamorous, it smells like stale beer, beer at starbux!? Hey it's Germany every town has a brewery, beer has to be fresh and a sausage factory ....but I try to be honest with you guys ;) The WiFi in our hotel decided to just give up on life last night, so I'm nursing a giant venti-Toffee Nut Latte, here until security drags me out (kicking and screaming, most likely).

Over the next few days, I'm doing my last little Christmas market tour before heading to England for Christmas. On the itinerary are Cologne, Aachen, Monschau and Brussels, so be sure to follow along on Instagram if you're interested.

I've also been busy churning out articles on my Alsace road trip, so if that interests you, here you go ( don't ask me where I'm going, okay):

Anyways, hi! If you've scrolled all the way to the bottom: this week's new video is a local's guide to the best Christmas markets in Munich - click here to watch it!

My thanks in advance for your attention, consideration, energy, support, time, and trouble.

I hope you're getting in the holiday spirit! Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! (since I'm busy you might be gettin' this epistle late, sorry)

If not, I'm sure these emails are tremendously annoying. Not to worry - the non-seasonal content will be resuming shortly...

Until then, have a nice week!

PS: I spent last weekend in the mountains attending the most random event ever - my boyfriend was running a winter obstacle race and people on IG loved the play by play so you can click here to see the highlights.
