1. They choose to own up to their mistakes.
The empowered entrepreneur understands that failure is just "part of the game." They aren't afraid to fail, because they know that with every failure comes the opportunity to learn and grow. They are self-aware. They don't let their mistakes and their past define them, but look to the future with a hopeful confidence, knowing that whatever happens is part of a bigger plan. They understand and accept that their current situation (both the good and the bad) is a reflection of their past decisions.
2. They choose to have thick skin.
The empowered entrepreneur loves others, and may care what others think, but they do not let the opinions of others sway them. They are free from comparison, able to find their voice and project it, and unmoved by irrelevant feedback. They do not need to be praised, liked, or popular. They simply live their life, fighting for what matters most to them, and ignore the "haters" AND the "raving fans" which gives them a special kind of freedom. They are deeply rooted in their purpose, and they understand that everything else is a mere distraction.
3. They choose to do the hard things.
Empowered entrepreneurs make sacrifices. They stay up late and wake up early. They invest time and money into their business, even when they are afraid. They stare at a blank screen and refuse to move until their email is composed. They say no to Netflix and do market research instead. They realize that they are not defeated when something in their business flops, but rather, they persist forward. They don't make excuses, procrastinate, or give into resistance. They are willing to live like no one else so that they can eventually live like no one else. When things go wrong, they get back up, brush themselves off, and go at it again, with resiliency.
4. They choose to be grateful.
Empowered entrepreneurs have grand visions and exciting goals, but they've also learned how to balance these goals with gratitude for what they have in the present. They strive for more, while being satisfied in the now. They know that no amount of money, success, etc. will ever bring them happiness. Happiness is a choice, and is connected to gratitude.
5. They choose to say no.
The empowered entrepreneur is not afraid to say no. They understand that by removing all distractions (deleting, throwing away, unsubscribing and purging), they are allowing more space for what matters most to them. They do nothing out of obligation, and set up clear boundaries to protect their families and their dreams. If something does not excite them and is not connected to their greater goals, they release it. By saying no to things (even good things), the empowered entrepreneur can say YES to even better things.
6. They choose to trust their gut.
The empowered entrepreneur does not overthink things. They do not live in indecision. They trust their gut and take action quickly. They do not second-guess themselves, but own their decisions and move forward with confidence until a big red flag appears. (Then they apply #1). The empowered entrepreneur understands that while some things may not make perfect sense, that moving forward (even when things are hazy) is paramount to success. They believe in their own instincts, and do the things they feel led to do.
The Empowered Entrepreneur is UNSTOPPABLE.
