Hi,
Two years ago, I stopped budgeting.
I had heard a talk about money being like air, that as a business builder, your goal is to build wealth through business and assets so that you do not need to worry about money.
If you need more of it, go make more of it.
This flew in the face of the whole Dave Ramsey philosophy, which says you should pinch pennies and save save save.
I figured, why not just make more money and then you won't have to worry about "save save saving" all the time?
While you don't want to be foolish, I realized even when I was budgeting, I wasn't spending any differently anyways!
Yes, I believe in moderation and the importance of self-control.
I also don't usually spend money on stupid luxuries, but all that said, budgeting no longer made sense.
I now strive to create as much value as possible and trust that the money will be there.
I don't say, "I can't afford that", but instead, "HOW could I afford that?"
From a recruiting perspective, the answer is simple: do more deals.
Work harder and build an efficient system that will work for you.
Then you won't need to pinch pennies.
You will have money the same way you have air: as much as you need at your disposal.
