Fwd: How To Scam Your Boss

"WRONG!"

Hi Friend,

Have you ever had to present an idea or project to your boss, just to have it get chewed up or flat out rejected?

An idea or project that had the perfect angle, the perfect "spin". But without a second thought, it was tossed out or edited into something unrecognizable.

It's a common thing in the workplace. And most people have just accepted this as "how things are"...

But what if there was a way to look like a genius in front of your boss and colleagues...?

A way to scam your boss into approving all your greatest ideas?

Without doing a single piece of extra work.

Picture this…

A few years ago in Hollywood, there was a screenwriter called Justin.

One day, Justin agrees to write a movie script for a very well-known studio.

It's the biggest opportunity Justin has ever landed.

He loves the project. Ideas flow to him with ease. And he has zero writer's block or resistance.

When he finishes. He takes a step back and marvels at his creation.

"Ahh.. It's perfect."

Just like he had seen it in his mind.

But Justin has a problem.

You see, Justin knows from experience that whenever he hands in screenplays, they come back full of red-ink.

Red-ink from insecure 'big players' at the studio who always need to chime in and "make it better" ((feed their ego)).

Know what I'm talking about?

That's why this time he decides:

"Enough is enough."

And after pacing up and down for a long time debating with himself what to do.

He comes up with a BRILLIANT plan…

"I'm Going To Give Them Exactly What They Want"

"I've got it! I'm going to make a copy of my original script… and make some very obvious BAD edits…"

"Then, I'm going to take some things out that definitely should be in here."

And he gets to work...

The next day, when he hands the script over to the producers at the studio, everything goes according to plan:

"Uhh...It looks pretty good, but I think we need a little bit more of this over here and more of that over there."

"Okay noted. What else?"

"Well, this scene doesn't fit at all! We definitely need this scene taken out!"

Justin smiles.

"Hmm I see, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the feedback."

And now the scam is complete.

He goes and gets the original script, brings it back to them, and then says.

"I took your advice and here's the new version. What do you think now?"

"Oh, wow perfect. This looks way better!"

"I'm glad. I couldn't have done it without your help."

And that's...

How To Be Smart Without Saying You're Smart

So next time you have an idea you want to show your overly critical boss or you're pitching something to someone that usually starts by disagreeing…

Now you're prepared.

And the best part about this technique is this:

The more critical they are, the better...
