There's more to Instagram(IG)/Facebook marketing than just creating a IG/Facebook page(s). If you're new to IG/Facebook or your campaign hasn't seen results yet, you probably just need more information so you can be more successful. Read on to learn what to do in order to market your business on IG/Facebook.

If you are going to share images with your fan base, make sure that you know exactly who or what is being portrayed. Posting a picture of one person and saying it is someone else is a very terrible faux pax. It may give people the idea that they are not distinct individuals in your eyes, although on the other side of the world it may work in your favour.

When thinking of information to share with your followers, fans & friends on IG/Facebook, try to keep them relevant to what is going on with your business or industry, per news feed. If your company sells auto parts, you should make posts about auto parts. Posting photos of cats or other irrelevant topics will ensure that people may just, un-follow your page.

Get faces to your brand active on IG/Facebook. You know the social media has "face" in the name don't you? IG/Facebook is really about building relationships, and it's tough to build relationships around corporations as entities or faceless brands. If you add some faces and names into the mix, it can do a lot for building brand engagement among your fans, assuming it's a consistent face or spoke-person.

Use IG/ Facebook as a customer service tool. Invite customers to send you questions, concerns, comments or complaints by commenting on your IG/Facebook page. This is a great way to display your excellent customer service policies and procedures. Answer questions in detail and offer refunds or new products right away to the customers who complain.

A clear purpose is necessary when figuring out your IG/Facebook marketing campaign and pls pick a theme and be consistent and persistent. You can't just think that getting lots of "Likes" on IG/Facebook will bring in huge profits as a result. You must have clear goals, & objectives, such as building sales by x percent, so you can work towards them. IN any event there's talk that "Likes" don't matter and IG for example is doing away with "Likes" or their '<3' (heart) symbol.

Be careful of any images you post as ads, as only 20% of the image can be actual text. If you end up submitting an image which has more than 20% text, it will be rejected and you've wasted your time. Be creative and create an image which captures your audience's attention and sells.

Make sure that any content you post is made shareable and likable. There are many businesses that leave messages then they fail to allow users to share it with others. Word-of-mouth is your biggest means for acquiring IG/Facebook fans, so do not forget to allow sharing. This allows you to touch base with not only your fan, follower and friend but their network, as well for double optins. Failing to place share links on your page will set your business back a lot.

Never buy IG/Facebook fans, followers and friends  to make you look bigger than you really, are. It may be tempting to throw down some cash to buy your way in to bigger fan, follower and friends numbers, but it never turns out the way you wanted it, it's better if it's organic. Those hollow fans, friends and followers bring nothing to the table, and people who are in the business can see through this tactic in a heartbeat. It's seldom, if ever worth it.

Tie in or link other socialmedia accounts like Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest and/or Tumblr etc. such that when you post to IG/Facebook it also comes up in the other accounts as an "me.onfb.com." Use IG/Facebook Stories, daily to augment your posts because most people view those, an automated feed, more so than endlessly scrolling thru news feeds, budget about about ~10 mins. block of time for each story.

As you can see, IG/ Facebook marketing does take a bit of effort. Now that you know what to do, though, it should be pretty easy to get started. So get on your computer and create your first post today. If you use our tips, & tricks you will see success almost instantly.

One easy way of automating the list building process with Twitter for example is by using the services of... 
www.SocialOomph.com or try Loomly.com hook up with six sites. 

Don't forget to linkup Facebook & Linkedin.com,  Pinterest,  Twitter & Tumblr etc., so that one ad placed on say... fb.com shows up in the other two  or three or more ... socialmedia pages of yours...  as a link like: 'me.onfb.com'. (( like in twitter as illustrated in Twit dialog box in panel to the right...)) as for the others there are at least nine (9) or ten (10+) major socialmedia websites you should be using on the net... Top-Social-Networking-Sites-People-Are-Using 

You can send out automatic direct messages to those fans, friends and followers, who begin to follow your updates. These automated messages could include a direct link to your website, blog + biz or better yet, your squeeze, opt-in or splash page(s), where you offer each site,  Facebook and/or Twitter etc. user a free incentive, such as a report, eBook, free sample product,  article content or guide etc. based on your niche market. 

When it comes to using Social Oomph to build your list and initiate first contact with those that follow you, be sure that the product you are offering on your squeeze page is extremely focused on your niche market and offers something of value. 

You don't want to give away a product that is already saturated online, such as outdated PLR. Try to offer something original, even if it's a short report or mini-product, the more exclusive it is to your list, the more likely that your visitors will subscribe to your newsletter. 

Just like with every other social community, your marketing campaign needs to be tweaked and offered in a slightly very different format that caters to their desire to network with other like-minded individuals. 

This means that you want to make sure your automated DM message, as well as every tweet, and/or share you broadcast is seemingly written for the benefit of the reader, rather than direct advertisements.
Posting entertaining and useful tweets and posts in general, are an important part of successfully building your online business with twitter, and/or facebook etc., however you want to focus on spending your time wisely and ensuring that each tweet, and/or post is productive in helping you further your brand, you!, right? This is where twitter and/or facebook link bait comes into play. Rather than posting a link to a direct news story, post a summary of it on your blog and direct people to your page in order to read the message you are broadcasting and then follow-up post. 

This is a passive aggressive marketing tactic that works very well within twitter, as well as facebook etc., because rather than directly trying to sell to your following base, you are simply posting about something you found interesting, useful or entertaining. 

Once you have them on your blog, they'll likely explore your website and if you've done your homework and resulting job of developing relationships with your friend, fan and following base and staying active within the twitter and/or Facebook etc. community, it will be a lot easier to convince them to subscribe to your newsletter or purchase your products.
Show people that you are interested in getting to know them, what they are interested in, what they are looking for.
Focus on giving, more than receiving and you will quickly discover, just how effective twitter and/or facebook etc., can be in helping you further your brand and building your online business. 

By answering questions and providing help, tips, tricks or advice on questions that people have, you can establish yourself as a credible source for information within your niche market, quickly and easily.
