RE: RV Lifestyle Perks

As an added bonus for being part of the RV Lifestyle family, we have a few exclusive deals for our community.

Harvest Hosts

15% off Harvest Hosts annual membership ($79) using the discount code: HHFriends15

If you haven't heard of Harvest Hosts then you're in for a treat. It's a unique membership service that lets RVers camp overnight FOR FREE at lovely outdoor venues such as wineries, breweries, museums, farms, orchards, and creameries.

If you're feeling cramped in an RV park, then this could make for an amazing getaway.

I mean look at some of these photos!

PS. I interviewed the owner of Harvest Host, if you're on the fence or need more info, listen here.

All Stays Pro is the major go-to site Jennifer and I use for finding places to stay that really stand out, especially out of the way boondocking spots and free places to stay. Many RVers are familiar with the AllStays app. It is awesome. But since Jennifer and I discovered AllStays Pro, the browser-based subscription site, we rely on it almost exclusively in our RV travels.

Some of their awesome features:
  • The big screen. Being able to view AllStays Pro on a laptop or tablet is a so much easier than trying to view the AllStays app on a small phone screen. It works great on all devices but with the big screens, it is so much easier to see what's ahead and what options you have.
  • Major trails map layer and a public lands overlay that displays on the map so you can quickly know what is around you.
  • The program has more of those little out of the way (less mainstream) and free places that offer such awesome camping. For example, the app has about 64,000 points in it. AllStays Pro has over 90,000 interest points.
  • It has a larger range of stores that RVers might like for parking or shopping (Home Depot, Lowes, Kmart, Meijer, Whole Foods, Trader Joes)
  • It has Smarter filters. For example, you can select all your Clubs (Good Sam, Passport Aerica, etc) and it shows all of them, versus one at a time in the app and free website version.
  • And if you need another reason to get AllStays Pro, perhaps the best is how up to date and current it is all of the time.

OvernightRVParking.com

Another resource to help you find free or very low-cost places to stay while traveling in your RV is called OvernightRVParking.com. As of today, it has a database of nearly 12,000 locations around North America that can be searched, listing places that allow and prohibit overnight RV parking.

Plug in a city and you'll get a map listing where you can or where you can't overnight free or for a very low fee. Plus the site has individual state and province PDF files that members can download to their computers if they don't have Internet service on the road.

The website is tablet and mobile device friendly, so you really don't need a special app.

The site is a subscription service – $24.95 a year.

I had a great conversation with the owner and he has made a nice offer to our readers. If you decide to sign up, he will extend your membership from 12 months to 15 months. That works out to a pretty nice discount so use the link above to sign up and receive your 3 free months!
