Fwd: How to Use Topic Clusters to Drive SEO Performance

Hi Jon-jon, here...

Search is changing, from text to images to voice and all three and the way we market and sell, the way we promote our small businesses, nonprofits, and other ventures... have to change with it.

It's no longer enough to do keyword research – the basis of the vast majority of SEO strategies over the last decade-plus – when creating content, building your brand, and seeking to rank higher on Google's results pages. We need to think more holistically about our content, and that means using a concept called "topic clusters."

Topic clusters are a relatively new way to think about how to write and organize content. From now on, no blog post, article, or other digital content should exist only to include the odd long-tail keyword phrases.

When you write, you must think about where your content fits into the bigger picture – a picture that a topic cluster content model builds for you, the bigger picture after all a picture is worth a 1,000 words.

What are topic clusters? Why are content marketers and strategists using them? And how can you start using them yourself, as well? Let's examine the topic and see if it's a good fit for what you want to accomplish... Read the rest of the article here.

My thanks in advance for your trouble, time, attention and consideration.

Cheers,

Jon
